George’s suggested upgrade: Hornby’s excellent model will benefit from etched nameplates, doublearrows and depot plaques from Fox or Shawplan.

Ben’s suggested upgrade: This is possibly one of the best performing chassis in ‘N’ and the model is a massive improvement over the old Farish offering. It can be improved with the fitting of the included detail parts at one end, but the jumper cables are a little over-scale and need replacing with fine wire.
