Control system of the future?

This is my large ‘N’ gauge layout, which I control using itrain software, a Z21 controller and Lenz point accessories. I use two laptops; one acts as a server so visitors can connect their own laptop to the railway and join in the fun. The layout is about 24ft by 10ft and has taken me about three years to build so far. My wife has helped me make the scenery, particularly within the marina and village areas.
