All the buildings are scratchbuilt, using multiple layers of card.

Extra attention was given to the site of the abandoned trackwork in the foreground to reflect its return to nature, and semi-relief trees were added to the backscene, a far more realistic solution than painted trees!

Phill used a variety of hues and a mix of scrub and grass, so typical of these areas, to avoid making the landscape appear uniform and sterile.
