HAPPY BIRTHDAY MODEL RAIL!

It seems surreal to be wishing Model Rail a happy 20th birthday – it only seems like yesterday that I was eagerly waiting for my subscriber copy of Rail Enthusiast magazine (which contained Model Rail as an embryonic supplement) to drop through the letterbox, before I had to head off to school. I remember it for its more relaxed style, and I think that is what Model Rail has done more than anything over its 20 years – made our wonderful hobby accessible to a wider audience in an entertaining, yet informative way.
