With their tubes resembling artists’ oils, these paints are highly versatile and have long working lives. Complementary thinners are essential, as the paints have a gloopy viscosity. They can be diluted to create your own washes or used neat for specific staining effects. Typically requiring 6-12 hours to dry, there’s plenty of time for adjustment.
