CHRIS…
One of the most important things I learned from George’s visit is that there is no substitute for good quality equipment. In the past I got by with cheap airbrushes – the £30 variety that sometimes come as a free gift incentive with another purchase. The fact that I’ve had more than one speaks for itself. They did not work well and I did not maintain them effectively. The examples which George brought with him were good quality dual-action airbrushes, one with a top-mounted trigger and the other with a pistol-type grip. I’d used top-mounted trigger versions before, but I found the pistol grip much easier and comfortable to use. As I suffer from RSI in my right hand, having tools which are comfortable is important.
