While I was researching this model I noticed that the GWR also rebuilt some MSWJR 0‑4‑4Ts with the same No. 11 boiler used on the ‘Dean Goods’. Perhaps an Oxford Dean boiler and a Kernow ‘O2’ chassis would work together… The last surviving EX-MSWJR locomotive, 2-4-0 No. 1336, performs its last duty – an enthusiasts’ special over the MSWJR, at Cirencester Watermoor in May 1953. It never received any BR markings, despite outlasting No. 1335, which did receive a BR smokebox numberplate.
