What is it? Bachmann is to produce an all-new ‘V2’, to really do the classic LNER 2-6-2 justice. This is rather than trying to fit a new body to a 2012 chassis that was designed to fit a 1990s body… The all-new ‘V2’ will feature key detail differences, such as inside and outside steampipes and tender types. It will come sound-ready (speaker-fitted) and will have flickering firebox effect.
