If not quite a total reversion of his solo debut’s sweeping ambient techno, Fuck Buttons’ Benjamin John Power inhabits a far more contemplative space on his latest Blanck Mass album. When the melodic twinkle and glitchy, stumbling rhythms of Hive Mind intermittently give way to explosive rage, it feels an adroit demonstration of Power’s aim to reflect today’s festering political landscape.
