Evans could be headed for Rally Argentina run

Elfyn Evans is likely to add Rally Argentina to his 2015 WRC2 programme.

After winning the opening two WRC2 rounds of the season, Evans will miss his week’s Rally Mexico before heading across the Atlantic for Rally Argentina next month. The M-sport star has special memories after scoring his first WRC podium with third place in South America last year.

The plan is to take the R5 Evo and show its potential on rougher gravel, while offering Evans the chance to make it three starts and three wins.

“I’d definitely be up for Argentina,” Evans said. “As you can imagine, confidence is fairly high with two from two; it’s not a bad start to the year. Last year, Argentina was pretty rough, but from what I’ve seen with the R5 Evo, it wouldn’t be a problem.”
