Sportscar enduro tops Donington event

A three-hour race for 1000km sportscars will cap the 17-race programme for the Donington Historic Festival on April 30-May 2.

The race, which will start at 1610hrs on Saturday, is a round of the series for sports, touring and GT cars from the world sportscar championship of 1964-1971.

Racing will feature on all three days of the Festival and will include double-headers for the Super Touring Trophy, HGPCA Pre-1950 Grand Prix Cars and Historic Formula 2.

Monday’s programme wraps up with the HRDC’S British Touring Car Championship Celebration for saloon cars from 1958 to 1966.

Formula 1 demonstrations, a live rally stage, historic karting and car club displays are all on the programme.
