Sowery aiming for full British F3 campaign after debut with Lanan

Toby Sowery aims to contest the remainder of the BRDC British F3 season after a strong debut at Snetterton with Lanan Racing.

Originally the 19-year-old’s deal was just for the season opener but the former MRF and F3 Cup champion would now like to remain in the category if he can secure the necessary budget.

Despite limited testing, Sowery qualified fourth for the first race and took a best result of second place in race three on Monday.

“I’m trying to do as much as we can [of the season] but I’m not sure how much we can do,” said the ex-mclaren Autosport BRDC Award finalist. “Considering I had less seat time than everybody else, P4 in qualifying was good.”
