Former works Chevron will compete in Historic F3 with Waggitt
John Waggitt will race what is thought to be an ex-works Chevron B15 in the Historic F3 Championship this season.
The 1969 B15 is believed to be the ex-reine Wisell car and one of only two cars supplied in red when new.
The car that Frenchman Rene Ligonnet has owned since new is the other red car and Waggitt borrowed that machine to help with the rebuild.
“The car came from France where it ran with a Renault engine in the 1980s. The information we’ve got points to it being the Wisell car,” said Yorkshireman Waggitt, a former hillclimber. It has been rebuilt in Wisell’s period livery.
