Crozier achieves three rally attempt
MSA Academy-backed co-driver Richard Crozier successfully completed three rallies in the space of 36 hours earlier this month.
After guiding Darren Moon’s Ford Escort Mk2 to 22nd overall and second in the Historic class on the Border Counties Rally (March 19), Crozier made the hour’s dash south to Northumberland for the Hexham Historic Rally.
Arriving just 25 minutes before their start time, Crozier and reigning Lejog winner Andy Lane enjoyed a troublefree run to steer Lane’s BMW 2002tii to a comfortable 25-minute win.
Crozier and Lane then made a two-hour commute and managed just four hours sleep, before contesting Sunday’s North Yorkshire Classic Rally.
Despite fatigue, the pair set times good enough for fourth overall, but a mis-plot early on meant they spent their day staging a fightback. They recovered from 53rd in the morning to a 15th place.
