PORSCHE CARRERA CUP
Who can beat Dan Cammish? As soon as last year’s dominator was confirmed as returning to defend his Porsche crown, that was the question everyone was asking.
The 26-year-old won 11 of the 16 races in 2015 and wrapped up the title with three to spare. Now with a year of Carrera Cup experience under his belt, he easily goes into this season as the hot favourite. But he’s determined not to let that pressure affect him.
“I will approach it exactly the same as I did last year and take each race as it comes,” says Cammish, who remains with the Redline team. “I’ve got the added expectation this year and I’ve got a bit of a target on my back.
“I don’t really think about that side [the pressure]. It would be quite easy to say there’s more pressure. Last year I was unknown, while this year I probably go in as favourite but there are some good guys in it this year. It will be just as tough if not tougher.”
