Bull’s next step

Red Bull Racing is expecting a significant step forward in engine performance in time for the Canadian Grand Prix. The team says it will have a sizeable engine upgrade for its Renault power unit, which is running under the TAG Heuer badge this year. Driver Daniel Ricciardo said: “You don’t feel a lot more power [from the engine], it’s not like you get a huge extra kick, but we are feeling it run better at the end of a straight. It has more legs. Once we get to – at the moment we’re talking Montreal [in June] – we should have a proper step and then hopefully I get some whiplash and some good g- forces through my neck.”
