A record en­try of 206 driv­ers took part in the first Su­per One Se­ries round at Rowrah ear­lier this month. Harry Thomp­son took two nar­row fi­nal wins in IAME Cadet. He achieved the first with a last-lap pass on Joseph Tay­lor and he held off Tay­lor Barnard in the short­ened sec­ond race. Thomp­son also starred in Honda Cadet, win­ning the first fi­nal and was sixth in the sec­ond. Cae­son Gib­son won fi­nal two, while sec­ond-placed Ben Kasper­czak was ex­cluded for “driv­ing in a man­ner in­com­pat­i­ble with general safety”. Tom Can­ning and Jonny Edgar bat­tled for the two Minimax fi­nals, with Can­ning emerg­ing on top both times. Bradley White dom­i­nated the open­ing Ju­nior TKM fi­nal, while Kris­tian Bri­er­ley took the sec­ond. Wil­liam Pet­titt and Jonathan Hog­gard shared the Ju­nior Ro­tax spoils and Matthew Tay­lor took the TKM Ex­treme wins. Jack Mccarthy and Josh White were the Se­nior Ro­tax win­ners… For­mula Kart Stars has an­nounced a partnership with man­u­fac­turer Ip­kart­ing for this sea­son. The com­pany’s For­mula K chas­sis will be used in the Se­nior and Ju­nior FKS classes… A cash prize of over £15,000 will be shared be­tween suc­cess­ful driv­ers at the in­au­gu­ral IAME Euro­pean Open this year. The win­ners of the X30 Ju­nior, Se­nior and Masters classes will win £3000 and the other podium fin­ish­ers will be re­warded. For the IAME Cadet, the win­ner will get £1000. The top three in class will also re­ceive free en­try to the Kart­mas­ters Bri­tish Kart GP. The event takes place at PFI on June 15-19…
