A record entry of 206 drivers took part in the first Super One Series round at Rowrah earlier this month. Harry Thompson took two narrow final wins in IAME Cadet. He achieved the first with a last-lap pass on Joseph Taylor and he held off Taylor Barnard in the shortened second race. Thompson also starred in Honda Cadet, winning the first final and was sixth in the second. Caeson Gibson won final two, while second-placed Ben Kasperczak was excluded for “driving in a manner incompatib­le with general safety”. Tom Canning and Jonny Edgar battled for the two Minimax finals, with Canning emerging on top both times. Bradley White dominated the opening Junior TKM final, while Kristian Brierley took the second. William Pettitt and Jonathan Hoggard shared the Junior Rotax spoils and Matthew Taylor took the TKM Extreme wins. Jack Mccarthy and Josh White were the Senior Rotax winners… Formula Kart Stars has announced a partnershi­p with manufactur­er Ipkarting for this season. The company’s Formula K chassis will be used in the Senior and Junior FKS classes… A cash prize of over £15,000 will be shared between successful drivers at the inaugural IAME European Open this year. The winners of the X30 Junior, Senior and Masters classes will win £3000 and the other podium finishers will be rewarded. For the IAME Cadet, the winner will get £1000. The top three in class will also receive free entry to the Kartmaster­s British Kart GP. The event takes place at PFI on June 15-19…
