THE DRIVERS CAMMISH TIPS TO CHALLENGE HIM

-

Charlie Eastwood

The 2016/17 Scholarship driver has adapted quickly from single-seaters and has caught team-mate Cammish’s attention. “I’ve been on the pace in testing,” says Eastwood. “Dan is a great benchmark. We bounce off each other well. The goal is to win the rookie title this year, but there’s some tough competition so I need to bring my A-game.”

Dino Zamparelli

The former GP3 driver had a tough rookie season in 2015, but a late switch to GT Marques made a difference and he became the only driver to twice beat Cammish. Now he’s back again with the team. Cammish feels that Dino will have a point to prove after last year’s disappointing start to the campaign.

Tom Sharp

Last year’s rookie class champion was boosted by beating Cammish in the final race. “I surpassed all expectations,” says Sharp. “Winning a race gives me more confidence. The target is to be top three at the end of the season, and hopefully even higher!” Sharp does lack a teammate at his IDL squad to push the team on.

Tom Oliphant

Oliphant is the reigning Ginetta GT4 Supercup champion but the Redline driver doesn’t feel that’s an advantage. “You have to let go of all the success you had as it’s a different class,” he says. “My aim is the title but if Dan wins, whoever comes second to him will almost get the accolade of winning it.”
