Unlucky Button

-

Jenson Button has put his retirement from the Bahrain Grand Prix down as sheer bad luck after it ended a promising weekend. Button had impressed by going third fastest in practice. He was running inside the top 10 before being forced to stop with a failure of the energy recovery systems. “It’s unbelievable how unlucky we were,” said Button. “It was the best position we’ve been in for a while on outright pace. Others were making mistakes and we could have taken advantage, but we didn’t have the reliability.”
