Bailey and Schulz to return to the GT Cup

GTO champions Paul Bailey and Andy Schulz will return to the GT Cup this year, swapping to the GTC class.

The duo will switch from an Aston Martin Vantage GT3 to a Ferrari 458 Challenge, which will be entered by SB Race Engineering.

“Andy and I are looking forward to another successful year with GT Cup,” said Bailey. “The decision at the end of the year was to come back and defend the GTO title or to try in another title. I like the idea of going for a different title as I don’t think anyone has done that before in GT Cup. We will also still be in contention for the overall title as well.”

Bailey will return to the series after a crash in Malta last October when he lost control of a Porsche Spyder and it ploughed into spectators, injuring more than 20 people.
