WORLD ENDURANCE PREVIEW
NEXT WEEK YOUR GUIDE TO THE SILVERSTONE OPENER
We don’t do this too often, but we’re kicking off this weekend’s guide with British Rallycross.
There’s a teen sensation taking the British scene by storm – Dan Rooke. The youngster won only the second round of his rookie supercar campaign at Lydden Hill (Thursday, 0800-0900hrs, BT Sport 2) and he’s one to watch for the future.
Elsewhere, highlights of last month’s Lee Holland Memorial Rally from Anglesey are in the offing (Friday, 21002205hrs, Motors TV). Ashley Field extended his Motorsport News Circuit Rally Championship lead with two rounds left to play, despite the disadvantage of having a terrible co-driver…
With just about as big a contrast as it gets in geography, we skip from Anglesey to Long Beach where the Formula E circus recently visited. The racing has been of a high standard this year, and if you can get past the lack of noise, it’s a must-watch (Wednesday, 1500-1600hrs, BT Sport 2).
If you’re suffering from the lull in Formula 1 action, the faithful Sky Sports F1 Classic Races series is on hand. This week the 1986 Brazilian Grand Prix is among the ones to watch (Wednesday, 2100-2145hrs, Sky Sports F1).
Finally, the newly named BRDC F3 series was in action recently at Snetterton. The return of ‘F3’ was well received and a few good races did the reintroduction of the name no harm at all. Lando Norris and Enaam Ahmed starred (Thursday, 1310-1415hrs, Motors TV).
