Team Fox Racing steps up to F3 Cup with two ex-british F3 Dallaras

-

Multiple Monoposto champion Robbie Watts will return to the F3 Cup this year as part of a multicar entry from Team Fox Racing.

The Silverstone-based squad will field a total of three cars, but could expand to four later in the year.

It will run an ex-hitech Racing Dallara F308 fitted with a Volkswagen engine for Watts, who lifted the Mono 2000 title three times between 2013 and ’15.

Daryl Jones will handle the team’s second entry, which is the Carlin Dallara F308 that Zach Claman demelo took to two F3 Cup wins at Snetterton last season. The team will also assist with the running of Mark Harrison’s older F302-toyota.

Team boss Dan Fox, who formerly worked with the Red Bull F1 Team and Fortec Motorsports, said: “We’ve run Robbie in Monos for the last few years and been very successful so we’ve wanted to move up a step for a while.

“We want the title this year and we’re looking at bringing an additional car out later in the season.”

The opening rounds of the F3 Cup take place at Donington Park this weekend and a 15-car grid is expected.
