MCR expands

Sportscar team Michael Comber Racing has expanded into singleseater racing for the first time, running a Van Diemen RF88 for Mazda MX-5 racer Simon Fleet. The Revesby driver, who will continue to race in the MX-5 Supercup this year, will focus on the Northern Pre-1990 FF1600 Championship this season. “I missed out on doing single-seaters after karting, so I am hoping he will let me have a go in it later in the season,” said team boss Mike Comber, himself a former Locost champion.
