Lancers breaking

Tristan Bailey retired from the Somerset Stages in one of the rarest cars the BTRDA is likely to see this season. The ex-works Lancer WRC04 is one of only two, but suffered a gearbox issue after stage four prompting an early exit. Another Lancer, piloted by Steven Clark and Steve Pugh, was going extremely well before the clutch disintegrated and there was a hole in the bell housing. The crew had run as high as seventh.
