Local racer Butterfield stars in both wet and dry in Mini Max with two victories as the Super One series visit Buckmore Park in Kent

Local driver Jenson Butterfield didn’t put a foot wrong all weekend and was unbeatable in both the dry and wet conditions taking a clean sweep of Mini Max victories.

After taking victory in Junior Max Final One, Rory Hudson was finding it hard to take a podium in Final Two as he found himself battling with Johnathan Hoggard, Myles Apps and Joe Turney for second. Up front, Tyler Chesterton drove a very calculated race to win.

Sunday was all about Josh Collings in Rotax Max. His fastest lap in the morning’s heat was a sign of things to come in the afternoon’s finals as, despite challenges from Charlie Turner, James Johnson and Jack Mccarthy, he was able to take both victories.

Championship leader Bradley White had a mixed day in Junior TKM. He won Final One despite huge challenges from Abbi Pulling, but found himself going backwards in the televised race with Pulling taking victory.

In the Honda Cadet Finals the red flag was flown three times in what was two chaotic but entertaining finals. Harry Thompson just missed out on victory in Final One to Oliver Bearman and his determination in Final Two certainly grew as he fought from sixth to first.

The second TKM Extreme final had the potential to be a very close race with less than two seconds separating the top 10, but it was unfortunately cut short due to an incident off circuit. In the lead when the race stopped was Kyle Sproat whose good championship run continues. Christopher Whitton was victorious in the opening final race.

IAME Cadet produced the best racing of the day with, at times, 10 karts battling for the lead. Harry Thompson passed two drivers in as many corners to win Final One and in Final Two it was Jonny Wilkinson who was positioned perfectly to inherit the victory as others fell off around him.
