Brun­dle gets G-drive LMP2 seat for WEC King leads home Row­land and Lynn for all-bri­tish GP2 podium in race two in Aus­tria

Jor­dan King led home the first ever Bri­tish 1-2-3 in GP2 in the sec­ond race at Aus­tria last week­end.

The Rac­ing En­gi­neer­ing driver scored a lights-to-flag vic­tory in race two af­ter start­ing from pole thanks to the re­versed grid. Oliver Row­land soon got ahead of Nor­man Nato to se­cure sec­ond, while Alex Lynn com­pleted the all-bri­tish line-up on the podium.

King said: “This feels re­ally spe­cial. It’s been a slightly up-and-down start to the sea­son, and this win will give ev­ery­one in the garage a con­fi­dence boost. Next week we’ll be in Sil­ver­stone and I hope we can put in an­other great performance there.”

Mitch Evans won a crazy when he fin­ished as run­ner-up in the cham­pi­onship in an Oak Rac­ing Mor­gan.

“This is a real priv­i­lege and I’m de­lighted to be do­ing the fi­nal six WEC races,” said Brun­dle. “The team has proven it­self as one of the best en­durance out­fits world­wide. With the mas­sive ex­pe­ri­ence of Rene and the pace of Ro­man I think we will make a po­tent com­bi­na­tion.”
