NO REGRETS 1994, Banking

But the 2009 champ is determined to fight. By Rob Ladbrook

-

“I remember going to the 1994 race with my dad, John, and we camped across from the gate. We couldn’t afford grandstand seats so we sat on the banking and watched every second [as Williams-renault man Damon Hill beat Jean Alesi’s Ferrari]. The atmosphere was so happy and jubilant. That’s something about the British GP, seeing all the fans decked out in team wear, and it’s not from one team, it’s from all teams. They don’t support a driver, they support the sport as a whole, even if it may not be in the best place right now.”
