The decision to start the race under the safety car was understand­able, if frustratin­g. But yet again the safety car was left out until track conditions were dry enough for intermedia­tes. Ten cars followed the safety car into the pits to change tyres, and by the end of the second racing lap everybody had made a stop. As several drivers pointed out, if this is going to keep happening what’s the point of having full wet tyres at all?
