Acura’s new NSX GT3 breaks cover in USA
Acura’s new NSX GT3 challenger made its maiden test appearance at Gingerman Raceway in Miami last week ahead of its expected race debut next season.
The new machine is powered by a 3.5-litre twinturbo V6 engine capable of creating around 600bhp and has a six-speed sequential gearbox. It has been built by Honda Performance Development (HPD) in California and will undergo FIA homologation later this year ahead of a full racing programme in America and Europe next season.
“Building on the very solid foundation of the production NSX, we’re making steady progress in our development and looking forward to campaigning the GT3 race car next year,” said HPD president Art St Cyr.
