It is well doc­u­mented that Shel­s­ley Walsh is the old­est motorsport venue in the world with a con­tin­u­ous his­tory. It all started in 1905 when the Mid­land Au­to­mo­bile Club se­cured the use of the un­sur­faced track to re­place the pub­lic road events it had been run­ning at Sun Ris­ing Hill near Strat­ford-on-avon. The Sun Ris­ing Hill her­itage lives on to­day in the MAC’S club badge.
