Sepang fix

Malaysian GP bosses have as­sured the pad­dock that any track is­sues at Sepang have been fixed fol­low­ing is­sues dur­ing a Mo­togp ses­sion ear­lier this sum­mer af­ter ma­jor resur­fac­ing works. The en­tire track was resur­faced be­tween Fe­bru­ary and May, but a planned Miche­lin tyre test in July was thwarted when water be­gan to seep back through the new sur­face, mak­ing the track wet in places. FIA race direc­tor Char­lie Whit­ing has since vis­ited the track. An FIA spokesper­son said: “The track takes a lit­tle longer to dry out, but ex­tra drainage slots have been cut so I don’t think we’ll have an is­sue.”
