Fuller and Wilmot test Team Hard Ginetta

-

Former British Touring Car Championship drivers Howard Fuller and Andy Wilmot tested a Team Hard Ginetta G55 GT4 at Brands Hatch last week as the pair evaluate a campaign in British GT with Tony Gilham’s team.

The pair have been associated with the squad since its creation in 2012, when they were signed as its first two drivers, but between them have had limited racing opportunities over the previous 12 months.

Both got their hands on the G55 for the first time as part of a general trackday test on the Indy circuit last Tuesday, and are expected to drive the car again during a semiexclusive test next month.

Fuller and Wilmot are now in talks about driving one of the G55s with Team Hard – which won the GT4 teams’ title in British GT this year – in 2017.

“The team is very interested in trying to get the two of us as a pairing because it makes a really good story,” said Fuller. “[We were] the first two drivers to race for Team Hard, so to have us back together is a great selling point for the team.”
