Siddall and Bull tame the Balkan Classic Rallye
British crew Andrew Siddall and Andy Bull have won the inaugural Balkan Classic Rallye after eight days of competition.
Siddall topped the finishers in his East African Safari-specification Datsun 260Z after more than 1200 miles of dirt roads, gravel tracks and mountain tracks.
The route crossed Bulgaria from west to east, with terrain ranging from mountains to plains on the run from the start in the city centre of Sofia to the finish on the coast of the Black Sea.
“This is the first overall win in my historic rallying career, and at such a fantastic event,” said Yorkshireman Siddall.
Organiser Alexander Kovatchev has already confirmed that he will run a second edition in 2017.
