Barrel bashing aside, Rob Hughes/ Sion Cunniff had a smooth run in their Ford Focus Millington to finish sixth ahead of the Mitsubishi Lancer E9 of Darren Martin and Peter Johnson, who suffered brake failure on SS8. It was a testing day for Nick Stamper/matt Daniels with their Impreza breaking a driveshaft on SS1 and the crew then having to complete the following three tests with no power steering. They made it home eighth ahead of Tom and Jack Darbyshire’s Impreza whilst Neil Marshall/dave Scrimgour completed the top 10 in their Peugeot 205 GTI.

Andy Leech/craig Sharpe-simkiss retired their BMW M3 on the final stage whilst lying fourth overall as only 17 cars made the finish.
