Scorpio Motorsport considers entry into Renault UK Clio Cup Junior series for 2017 Team has singleseater background

Scorpio Motorsport is considering entering the new Renault UK Clio Cup Junior series for next year.

The championshipwinning Formula Renault 2.0 squad has concentrated on single-seater racing in the past but is currently evaluating its options for 2017 and the Clio Cup Junior is one of the categories the team is looking at.

“Juniors is a six-round championship and that is appealing for us,” said team boss Jon Pettitt. “We are talking to interested drivers at the moment.

“It’s a great little car – it’s a proper Renault Clio race car.

“Having been out in it I was very positive and we will definitely look at this as a serious option for next year.”
