Blomqvist to make WEC debut

BMW DTM racer Tom Blomqvist will make his debut in the FIA World Endurance Championship in the penultimate round of the 2016 season in Shanghai next month.

Anglo-swede Blomqvist will replace ex-formula 1 driver Giedo van der Garde in the Extreme Speed Motorsports Ligier LMP2, which will be backed by the Indonesian Jagonya Ayam driver scheme.

Blomqvist will share the Nissan-engined JS P2 with current GP2 points leader Antonio Giovinazzi and Indonesian Sean Gelael for the six-hour race on November 6.
