Carlin signs da Costa for Macau as past winners star on entry list

-

Antonio Felix da Costa has become the third Macau Grand Prix winner to be added to next month’s line-up after agreeing to join Carlin.

The Portuguese racer last won Macau in 2012 when running with the British squad. Da Costa, who races in Formula E, joins 2014 and ’15 winner Felix Rosenqvist and 2011 victor Daniel Juncadella on the entry list for the November 17-20 event.

“Macau is a special prize – it’s just pure driving,” said da Costa, who will partner Sergio Sette Camara and Britons Jake Hughes and Lando Norris at Carlin. “The adrenaline rush between those walls is a feeling you don’t get anywhere else.

“There is no aim for me going back; I’m just doing it for the love of the sport, so when I got the call from Trevor [Carlin] a few weeks back I couldn’t say no.

“There will be a few fellow Macau winners going back as well as a lot of young up-andcoming guys too, so it will be a fun weekend and I’m looking forward to going back with the guys in blue [Carlin].”
