TV GUIDE
This year marks the 30th anniversary of F1’s return to the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez back in 1986, and you can catch the Classic F1 action tonight with highlights from that season’s Mexican Grand Prix. Gerhard Berger battled illness and rivals to claim the first of his 10 wins (Wednesday, 2100-2145hrs, Sky Sports F1).
The national motorsport racing season has died down now, but there’s still a chance to watch highlights from the final round of one of the BRSCC’S most popular, and competitive, onemake series – the Mazda MX-5 Supercup (Thursday, 1720-1825hrs, Motors TV). James Blake-baldwin and Tom Roche were locked in battle for the title, and Silverstone certainly threw up a dramatic end to the season. A day later there’s action from the ultra-competitive and well-stocked BMW Compact Cup series finale at Silverstone, and that’s followed immediately by highlights of the Porsche championship from the same meeting (Friday, 1720-1750hrs, Motors TV and 1750-1855hrs).
There’s no such absence of seasonal action for rally aficionados, though, with plenty of action to come throughout the winter. One of the standout events on the national calendar has just taken place, but thankfully all the key moments from the Mull Rally are available in condensed form if you missed any of the action (Sunday, 0720-0810hrs, Motors TV).
