At the same time, it’s worth remembering this is only his 11th start in a World Rally Car – it’s also his 11th start in a factory Ford Fiesta RS WRC. Two years ago, he’d only done two WRC rounds in his life and he’d probably never even heard of Pantperthog. He finished second in WRC2 on his GB debut last year, so he does have an idea of what to expect. But anything in the top six this week would be a very big ask.
