Nasr’s sponsor

Felipe Nasr’s chances of remaining with the Sauber team next season have been dealt a blow after he has lost the backing of a key sponsor. Banco do Brasil have pulled out, meaning that Manor racer Pascal Wehrlein is now favourite for the seat. Team boss Monisha Kaltenborn said: “They [Banco do Brasil] have interrupted their 2017 sponsorship programme. Our seat is still open, we are including that in our assessment and that’s all there is to say.”
