Tyre meeting

Drivers met with Pirelli at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix to discuss how the wet weather tyres could be improved. The wet rubber was criticised after the Brazilian GP earlier this month and improvements are set to be made, with one idea being to create a second wet tyre to suit tracks with different characteristics. “It was a very productive discussion because we do not test the wet tyres a lot in development tests or during events,” said Pirelli racing director Mario Isola.
