Karting ace Bradshaw tests Clio Junior car
CIK-FIA Karting Academy Trophy champion Callum Bradshaw tested a Renault UK Clio Cup Junior car at Snetterton last week as his prize for winning the Henry Surtees Challenge event.
The 15-year-old is looking to make the step up to car racing for next year and had instruction from Phil Glew for the test.
“The UK Clio Cup Junior test was a really good experience – the car was just brilliant,” said Bradshaw, who competed in the CIK-FIA World Championships in Bahrain earlier this month. “It took a short while to get used to the extra height and width compared to a kart but I felt I started to adapt quite quickly. A move to cars is on my radar and this is definitely a category I’m now looking at.” ● The calendar for the inaugural season of the UK Clio Cup Junior has been announced, with the series featuring alongside the British Truck Racing Association Championship for four of its six rounds. The season will begin at Thruxton, with visits to Rockingham, Donington Park, Snetterton, Brands Hatch and Pembrey.
