Adams gets class-winning debut in Canada as Brit sparkles in Kenya

BTRDA class champion co-driver Dom Adams competed on the Rally of Tall Pines in Canada last weekend, his first outside of Europe.

The Welshman helped Agatino Fortunato to fourth overall and first in class in the duo’s Subaru Impreza, overcoming three punctures. “It was my first time sitting with Agatino,” said Adams. “We decided to go for a cautious approach to start with, then once we built the trust between us we began setting some good stage times.”

Regular national competitor Jamie Mactavish competed in Kenya last weekend, helping Geoff Mayes to take second in the SPV class in the Kenyan Rally Championsh­ip.

Mayes and Mactavish finished 18th overall in their rallyraid Land Rover V8 in the Guru Nanak Rally. Mactavish was also the top British finisher on the event.
