Adams gets class-win­ning de­but in Canada as Brit sparkles in Kenya

BTRDA class cham­pion co-driver Dom Adams com­peted on the Rally of Tall Pines in Canada last week­end, his first out­side of Europe.

The Welsh­man helped Agatino For­tu­nato to fourth over­all and first in class in the duo’s Subaru Im­preza, over­com­ing three punc­tures. “It was my first time sit­ting with Agatino,” said Adams. “We de­cided to go for a cau­tious ap­proach to start with, then once we built the trust be­tween us we be­gan set­ting some good stage times.”

Reg­u­lar na­tional com­peti­tor Jamie Mac­tavish com­peted in Kenya last week­end, help­ing Ge­off Mayes to take sec­ond in the SPV class in the Kenyan Rally Cham­pi­onship.

Mayes and Mac­tavish fin­ished 18th over­all in their ral­lyraid Land Rover V8 in the Guru Nanak Rally. Mac­tavish was also the top Bri­tish fin­isher on the event.
