Mcerlean takes Anglesey win and the Junior title

- Results

Winner of the Junior section last year, Irish driver Josh Mcerlean repeated the result in his Peugeot 107 and with it secured the title in the Junior Formula 1000 Championship, with Tommy Mcerlean co-driving.

Close behind came Scottish driver Finlay Retson in his Citroen C1, with experienced co-driver Jonathan Jackson directing him, to claim the Scottish title. Not far behind was fellow Scotsman Ewan Tindall in another Citroen, with Paul ‘Rocky’ Hudson on the notes.

Almost all the large entry completed the 16 stages, but one driver missing was Tom Llewellin, son of British champion David. The youngster has impressed with his rate of development this year and was setting stage winning times before he clipped a tyre stack and broke a shaft. That ended any chance of the junior title which he was in contention for prior to the incident.
