750MC to cel­e­brate 50 years of For­mula Vee

The 750 Mo­tor Club plans to mark the 50th an­niver­sary of its For­mula Vee se­ries with a cel­e­bra­tion event at Cad­well Park in July.

The spe­cial July 29/30 meet­ing will fea­ture For­mula Vee races open to cars from across the cat­e­gory’s his­tory.

“We will be do­ing a non­cham­pi­onship event at Cad­well Park and are hop­ing to get some Ir­ish, Euro­pean and his­toric cars,” said 750MC com­pe­ti­tions sec­re­tary Giles Groom­bridge. “There will be some driv­ers from the past too.

“There will be var­i­ous other cel­e­bra­tions through­out the year and we have put to­gether a cal­en­dar for For­mula Vee in­clud­ing the Brands Hatch Grand Prix cir­cuit, which is a rare oc­ca­sion.”

The se­ries will race at the Kent track on May 1, the first Bank Hol­i­day Mon­day of the month, as a guest cham­pi­onship at an MSVR meet­ing.
