New Fiesta R5 evolution takes shape at M-sport
In the same week that M-sport has sold its 200th Ford Fiesta R5, the Cumbrian firm announced its second significant evolution of the car.
The R5 Evo2 will include engine updates to the cylinder head, exhaust manifold and valve train – increasing power through the rev-range.
M-sport’s Malcolm Wilson said: “There’s no doubting the Fiesta R5 is a great car and our most successful to date. When we launched the car, we never imagined we would have 200 cars around the world. We’re dedicated to providing customers with the most competitive package and these recent findings certainly warranted an upgrade.
“We have seen some fantastic results from a whole range of championships and we hope to continue that moving forward.”
M-sport’s Fiesta R5 scored 159 victories in 29 countries last season.
