Fiesta Junior frontrunner Burns to join leading team Jamsport for 2017 UK Clio Cup Junior assault
Fiesta Junior runner-up Bradley Burns will switch to the Renault UK Clio Cup Junior series for his second full season of car racing this year.
The 15-year-old was narrowly beaten by Harry Gooding to the Fiesta title at Brands Hatch last year and will now join Jamsport – which ran Gooding in Fiestas – for his Clio assault this season.
“The UK Clio Cup Junior car marks the next step for young drivers in performance, technology and engineering and if I can get a year or two of that under my belt before possibly moving into the senior UK Clio Cup then great,” said Burns.
Jamsport boss Jamie Going added: “Bradley pushed our drivers all the way in last year’s Fiesta Juniors – it’s obvious just how exciting a young talent he is, which is why we’re delighted to have signed him.”
