TV GUIDE
The last major shuffle in the Formula 1 driver market was completed last week, with Valtteri Bottas moving to Mercedes. Felipe Massa will come out of retirement (without having actually missed a grand prix, or even a test!), and Lance Stroll will take up the seat next to him at Williams. Now, then, is the perfect time to get up to speed with what the Canadian has to offer – so why not relive how he won last year’s FIA F3 European Championship in the season review? (Motors TV, Wednesday 1035-1445hrs).
Motors TV also has the highs and lows of the 2016 FIA World Endurance Championship, in which Porsche made it back-to-back drivers’ and constructors’ titles, with a full recap of Audi’s final season in LMP1 and Toyota’s penultimate lap heartbreak at Le Mans (Friday 0500-0600hrs).
If bright lights and big money are more your thing, then the Formula E street racers are heading to Las Vegas, as the drivers go headto-head with the world’s best Sim racers for a share of a million-dollar prize (BT Sport 1, Friday 0530-0600hrs).
And if you want a fix of Formula 1, Sky Sports F1 has a contemporary offering for you, with another chance to watch the German Grand Prix. Despite eventually missing out on a fourth drivers’ title, Lewis Hamilton went into the race in the middle of a real purple-patch – remind yourself of his great fight with Nico Rosberg and the rejuvenated Red Bulls at Hockenheim (Saturday 2100-2315hrs).
