Meloni’s test

San Marino teenager Davide Meloni is hoping to tackle this season’s British Racing & Sports Car Club’s National FF1600 Championship in an Oldfield Motorsport Van Diemen. “I want to race and come to the UK, so we hope we can make this happen,” he said after testing the car at Donington Park last week, his first time in a single-seater. His father runs the San Marino-based European GT4 team W&D Racing but Davide’s only race to date was in a Ford Escort at Imola last year.
