Tregurtha gets lastminute Bathurst drive

British GT4 champion Will Tregurtha ( below) will compete outside Europe for the first time this weekend as he will take part in the Bathurst 12 Hours.

The 17-year-old, who claimed the GT4 crown a year after also triumphing in Ginetta Junior, will compete in an older-spec Ginetta Cars Australia G55 GT4 in the event.

Tregurtha, who will race in the European GT4 series this term, will be partnered by Aussie Racing Car – a support series to Australian Supercars – drivers Ben Walsh and Jaie Robson in the event.

Ginetta factory driver Mike Simpson heads up the other entry and will be paired with Lindsay Kearns and Coleby Cowham – who both took a podium in the GT4 class last year.
